Training Underway

Category: Off The Bike | 3 comments

It has been awhile since I got a post up. But it is getting to be the time of year when I  start thinking about the year ahead and getting excited to start riding harder. One major thing that has been occupying spare time is building our new residence. Two days ago my wife and I moved into our new loft up above the Ethos Racing bike shop and training headquarters…AKA my Buddies garage. Here are a couple of pictures of what went up in three months.Bike Shop and New Home

Last night six of our Ethos Racing members had our regular Tuesday night circuit training session. It is comprised of 6 different exercises stations, which vary slightly week to week, that you perform for 45 seconds before a 15 second transition to the next stage. After one full rotation you are on your bike for the time it takes the second group to get through a rotation. 4 sets in all. It is very painful.

Yeah I did not explain that the best. There was 6 of us, so we had three on bikes and three people in the circuit at any given time. Once the circuit group has been through everything we all switch and start over. You go through the circuit 4 times. Hopefully that makes a little more sense. I am still sore from Super Burpies.

The loft is looking pretty slick on the outside. I’ll have to pop by some time and check out Travis and yours work.

i’m a bit confused… 6 of you, 6 bikes? i assume you ended up in two different groups? twelve of you, two groups of 6?
otherwise, how would you end up back on your bike until the second group got through all stations. ..

    cool idea thought
